TOUR ITINERARY

Excursion to Whitby –

We travel to the nearby ancient port with a fascinating history. The famous ruined Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ stands high above the town. There will be ample time to explore the narrow streets and maybe buy some Whitby jet – the ‘black amber’ of the north.

Excursion to Castle Howard and Malton -

A visit to the stately Castle Howard, one of Britain’s finest historic houses and gardens. A visit is also taken to Malton, a pretty Yorkshire market town, located on the north of the River Derwent.

Full day excursion to Ryedale Folk Museum and Thirsk –

There’s lots to see at Ryedale Folk Museum. With a six-acre site and twenty buildings to explore, most visitors spend two hours looking around. You can wander through the site, taking in the pretty cottage gardens, traditional cornfield, atmospheric historic buildings and find out how people have lived, worked and played in the area since pre-history.

We then continue to Thirsk, which was home to the legendary vet who wrote under the pseudonym of James Herriot. We visit his surgery which is now open as a visitor centre tracing his life.

Excursion to Scarborough -

The original seaside resort, offering stunning scenery and glorious beaches. Stroll along the promenade and simply enjoy all the attractions of a traditional seaside resort - traditional amusement arcades, fish & chips, ice cream parlours, shellfish stalls, beach huts, boating, crazy golf, miniature railway, to name but a few…all ingredients for a visit full of good old fashioned fun!
