Sunday 25th July- After our ‘Door to Door’ pick up service collects you from home you will board the holiday coach at the Sea Terminal. The 08:45 sailing to Heysham is taken and then onward coach journey to the Gibside Hotel, Whickham near Newcastle Upon Tyne. A comfort stop will be taken en route.


Monday 26th to Thursday 29th July - A selection of included excursions will be taken as per the tour itinerary.


Friday 30th July - After breakfast we will depart and make our way to Heysham for the afternoon sailing. On returning to Douglas we will be met by the ‘Door to Door’ vehicles which will take you safely home.



Gibside Hotel is a 3-star hotel situated in the centre of Whickham Village. The Village itself includes a beautiful park, selection of gift shops, individual restaurants and local pubs, all of which are within easy walking distance of the hotel. There are ground floor rooms and those on the first and second floors are reached by stairs, the hotel has a service lift back of house which can be used by arrangement with the hotel.

Tour Itinerary


•  A visit to Cragside House & Gardens, in 1878, Cragside was the first house in the world to be lit by hydro-electricity. Outside the house, one of the largest rock gardens in Europe leads down to the Iron Bridge.


•  Belsay's Grecian architecture, medieval castle, and thirty acres of gardens.



•  We travel along 'Military Road' tracing the path of Hadrian's Wall to Chesters Roman Fort. Then to the market town of Hexham for free time, followed by a stop in Corbridge with its boutique shops and cafes.



•  Bamburgh Castle. Perched on rocks at the edge of the sea, the castle boasts magnificent views of the Farne Islands.




•  Historic port of Amble and the gateway to Northumberland's coastline and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

In these circumstances the driver/company will exercise discretion reasonably having all due consideration to the relevant factors and as a result there may be changes to the planned journey/excursion.
